After her triumphant and record-breaking debut Hawaii concerts in 2015, global music icon Diana Ross will return to Honolulu’s Neal S. Blaisdell Arena on January 12, 2018 for a special one-night only concert. In advance of her return, Ms. Ross said in a statement to the people of Hawaii, “I love Hawaii. I love everything about it and I especially love the people.”

Honolulu based concert promoter Rick Bartalini Presents will continue their long history working with the international superstar by producing Ms. Ross’ one night only performance in Honolulu. “It’s an honor to have worked with Ms. Ross for many years and we are thrilled to bring her back to Hawaii for another magical evening,” says Rick Bartalini. In June 2015, Diana Ross performed her first ever Hawaii concerts to adoring sold out crowds at Neal S. Blaisdell Arena and Maui Arts & Cultural Center while smashing records at ticket box offices. The June 13 concert at Neal S. Blaisdell Arena marked Ms. Ross’ highest grossing U.S. concert in her remarkable touring history while her June 14 show became the highest grossing concert ever at the intimate Castle Theater at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. The record-breaking demand of her first Hawaii concerts led Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell to formally declare June 12, 2015 as Diana Ross Day in the City and County of Honolulu, forever marking the international superstar as one of Hawaii’s all-time favorite performers.

Concert promoter Rick Bartalini Presents will honor the residents of Hawaii with an exclusive Kama’aina pre-sale so that local residents may purchase the best seats first. Starting Monday, November 20 at 10:00 A.M., Hawaii residents may purchase up to eight tickets each. The Kama’aina pre-sale runs until Thursday, November 23 at 10:00 P.M. HST. Tickets go on sale worldwide starting Friday, November 24 at 10:00 A.M.

This Sunday, the timeless and legendary Diana Ross will receive the American Music Award of Lifetime Achievement at the 2017 American Music Awards. “I have endless memories of all the years that I have appeared on the American Music Awards,” Ross says in a statement. “It started with Dick Clark and the Caravan of Stars and American Bandstand. It was Dick Clark who said, ‘Music is the soundtrack of our lives.’ So true. I am so excited to be receiving this honorable award.” The 2017 American Music Awards will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles this Sunday, November 19 at 8 P.M. on ABC.
