2016 has been a tremendous year for Bonnie Raitt following the release of her twentieth album Dig In Deep (Redwing Records) and over 75 tour dates worldwide. To kick off her 2017 World Tour in support of Dig In Deep, Raitt announced a string of six shows in February and two in March in Hawaii before she performs in New Zealand and Australia, including a stop at Bluesfest Byron Bay. Raitt will be joined by her longtime touring band: James “Hutch” Hutchinson (bass), Ricky Fataar (drums), and George Marinelli (guitar), along with Mike Finnigan (keyboards).

The fall run of Raitt’s ‘Dig In Deep’ tour garnered rave press across the nation, with Raitt receiving praise from No Depression for her “grace, confidence, humility and credence [that] not only lifted the spirit of all in attendance, but also offered confidence that music’s continuum was still the support that will see us all through.” The Atlanta Journal Constitution also recently said that ” Raitt and her smokin’ four-piece band steamrolled through blues, soul, gospel and rock,” while the Minneapolis Star Tribune commented that “Raitt has never been more spirited, spontaneous and loving.”

Dig In Deep has sold over 150,000 units worldwide, debuting in the top #10 Billboard Album Sales, Blues Album, Americana/Folk Album, Digital Album Sales, Internet Album and Independent Album charts and was still on the top #200 Sales Chart 26 weeks after release. The album charted at #35 on the UK Top 40 Album chart, #1 UK Americana Album Chart and #7 UK Independent Album Chart with the UK and Germany both reporting Dig In Deep as Bonnie’s best-selling album since 1994’s ‘Longing In Their Hearts.’

Raitt recently performed her hit single “Gypsy In Me” at the 15th Annual Americana Music Association Awards & Honors in Nashville in September. A highlights program featuring an all-star line up is set to air on PBS Saturday, November 19th. Raitt was also recently inducted into the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame alongside Kris Kristofferson and B.B. King, and performed several songs with Taj Mahal, Mavis Staples, Willie Nelson, and Gary Clark Jr. at Austin’s ACL Live at The Moody Theatre. The induction ceremony is scheduled for broadcast on PBS this New Year’s Eve.

Bonnie Raitt has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Good Morning America, Ellen, Charlie Rose, CBS Sunday Morning, Tavis Smiley, The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, The View, Jools Holland and more in 2016 alone.

Bill Maher Returns To Hawaii For New Year’s With Comedy All-Stars Margaret Cho & David Cross

Tickets on sale to general public starting Saturday, June 25th at 10:00 A.M. HST

For the sixth year in a row, Bill Maher will be ringing in the New Year once again in the Hawaiian Islands featuring his biggest shows yet with Bill Maher’s 6th Annual New Year’s All-Star Evening of Comedy with Bill Maher, Margaret Cho & David Cross. Performances will be New Year’s Eve at the Blaisdell Concert Hall in Honolulu and New Year’s Day at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului. Making the celebration bigger than ever before, the host of HBO’s Real Time will welcome Margaret Cho and David Cross to the party for the first time ever. After sold-out shows for the past five years, Maher continues to make good on his promise to be the “Don Ho of New Year’s.”

Special Kama’aina pre-sale tickets to both shows will go on sale for Hawaii residents only today, June 20th at 10:00 A.M. HST. Buyers with a Hawaii zip code may buy up to eight tickets each. Non-Hawaii residents can purchase pre-sale tickets starting Friday, June 24th at 10:00 A.M and can access the pre-sale code and further information by signing up for Event Alerts at RBPconcerts.com. Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Saturday, June 25th at 10:00 A.M. HST.

As the U.S. wraps up a Presidential election year, Maher will surely have plenty of material to draw from. For over 20 years, Maher, who began his career as a stand-up comedian and still performs sold-out dates across the country, has never held back and set the boundaries of where funny and political talk can go on American television. First on Politically Incorrect (Comedy Central, ABC, 1993-2002) and for the last 10 years on HBO’s Real Time, Maher’s combination of unflinching honesty and big laughs has earned him 34 Emmy nominations; winning his first in 2014 as the Executive Producer for HBO’s Vice. In 2008, he wrote and starred in Religulous directed by Larry Charles (Borat). The documentary about religions around the world went on to become the eighth highest grossing documentary ever.

Adding to this New Year’s extravaganza will be Emmy and Grammy-nominated actress and comedienne Margaret Cho. Having conquered the worlds of film, television, books, music and theatre, her comedy tours are a constant sell-out both here and abroad. She’s had two shows debut Off-Broadway (I’m The One That I Want and The Sensuous Woman) and her last stand-up, psyCHO, was filmed at the historic Gramercy Theatre in New York City.

Since January of this year, David Cross has been “Making America Great Again,” touring the country in his first standup show in six years. Cross’ last tour in 2009 was a solo stand-up show in support of his New York Times Bestseller, I Drink for a Reason. It was filmed at Boston’s Wilbur Theater for a special, entitled Bigger and Blackerer, which premiered on EPIX in April 2010 before being released on CD and DVD by Sub Pop. His previous comedy special, David Cross: The Pride is Back, aired on HBO in 1999, and was named one of the 25 best stand-up comedy specials and concert films of all time by Rolling Stone in July 2015.

Fans can expect the unexpected when it comes to Maher’s New Year’s extravaganza. In 2013, Academy Award-winner Sean Penn and Director Michael Moore made a surprise appearance to introduce Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, who wowed the crowd with a surprise acoustic set. Last year, David Spade and Jeff Ross added to the hysteria. No matter what happens, one thing is for certain: The Islands are the place to be to welcome in 2017.

“I think everybody wants to be in Hawaii in December,” Maher said. “That was my plan all year; get my ass booked there for New Year’s!”

**This show may include mature subject matter.

For more than twenty years, Bill Maher has set the boundaries of where funny, political talk can go on American television. First on Politically Incorrect (Comedy Central, ABC, 1993-2002), and for the last twelve years on HBO’s Real Time, Maher’s combination of unflinching honesty and big laughs have garnered him 32 Emmy nominations. In October of 2008, this same combination was on display in Maher’s uproarious and unprecedented swipe at organized religion, Religulous, directed by Larry Charles (Borat). The documentary has gone on to become the 8th Highest Grossing Documentary ever.

In addition to his television program – which has featured such regular visitors as Howard Dean, Ben Affleck, Robin Williams, Arianna Huffington, Cory Booker and Michael Moore – Maher has written five bestsellers: True Story, Does Anybody Have a Problem with That? Politically Incorrect’s Greatest Hits, When You Ride Alone, You Ride with Bin Laden, New Rules: Polite Musings from a Timid Observer, and most recently, The New New Rules: A Funny Look at How Everybody But Me Has Their Head Up Their Ass.

Maher started his career as a stand-up comedian in 1979, and still performs at least fifty dates a year in Las Vegas and in sold out theaters all across the country. Three of his nine stand-up specials for HBO – 2007’s The Decider, 2005’s I’m Swiss, as well as his most recent, the hilarious, Bill Maher … But I’m Not Wrong, – have been nominated for Emmy awards.

Maher was born in New York City, raised in River Vale, N.J. and went to Cornell University. He now resides in Los Angeles.

An Acoustic Evening With Lyle Lovett & Robert Earl Keen Second Show Added Due To Overwhelming Demand

TWO NIGHTS,
TWO UNIQUE PERFORMANCES

Tickets on sale to general public starting today at Noon PT

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Due to overwhelming demand, a second Lyle Lovett & Robert Earl Keen show has been added to the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium on Easter Sunday, March 27th, 2016 at 8:00 P.M. The second night was added shortly after unprecedented demand for tickets for the duo’s first show on March 26th nearly sold out in a matter of days after going on sale. They previously performed together in 2013 to a sold out crowd at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium.

Lovett and Keen, who as friends spent many a night performing together on their front porches – will perform acoustic, stripped-down versions of their most well-known songs, and share the humorous and heartwarming stories behind them with a completely unique performance and set list each night.

Tickets for the added March 27th show will go on sale to the general public today, December 23rd at Noon PT. A limited number of tickets for the March 26th show are still available.

A singer, composer and actor, Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums. Coupled with his gift for storytelling, the Texas-based musician fuses elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues in a convention-defying manner that breaks down barriers. Lovett has appeared in 13 feature films, and on stage and television. Among his many accolades, besides the four Grammy Awards, he was given the Americana Music Association’s inaugural Trailblazer Award, and was recently named the Texas State Musician.

As singer/songwriter Robert Earl Keen has built a reputation as one of the nation’s finest musical storytellers, he has been guided by several self-imposed rules and traditions that are often the antithesis of music industry standards.
